Avantages
Excellent, top of the line, sales managers from the highest level down to the lower level reps. Training for new sales hires is thorough and comprehensive. Optics are truly superior to all competitor products. Decent pay structure/commissions and incentives. The older optical products sell themselves. University accounts are a slam dunk. Ability to sell custom jobs and really cater to and cover what keeps customers up at night regarding optical products.
Inconvénients
New products are extremely unreliable and difficult to sell with an honest conscience. All new products concerning electronics are over-engineered with unnecessary bells and whistles which always fail thus making them failures for the company and tarnishing the reputations of the sales representatives. Customers read online reviews and become reluctant to trust me. Customer service has cost me several clients which lack of knowledge of new products and poor attitudes. Engineering department is very difficult to work with and at times incompetent. Engineering manager has no regard for the input/advice of the VP of sales for requirements and suggestions for new products. They seem to focus on the appearance and features of products, failing to ensure that the most basic features work reliably.
