Avantages

I have been at Databricks for a year now and in the last one year I have seen org go through insane growth in terms of customer growth and org hiring (>2x in a year alone!) There are a ton of "Pros" working for Databricks, for instance: - personal and professional growth is unparalleled - teams/people are super smart - lean processes - company benefits (salary, RSUs, bonuses, gym allowance, food, travel etc.) - brand recognition ("Do you work at Databricks? That is so cool!") - internal mobility (Want to move internally to another country office? Sure!)

Inconvénients

- Insane growth comes at a cost: Work Life Balance. Working long hours, and working weekends are very common across all teams - Work pressure: Working long hours is one thing but there is work pressure (deliver! deliver! deliver!) as well. Focus is on the outcomes, which is great & right approach from org perspective but this can have a huge toll on people's wellness - Culture & Values: Databricks, like any other big firm, has defined culture values but are they really applied on daily basis? Not so much (except for customer obsession!). - No company phone: This is strange becasue Databricks will give you all the perks that you could ask for but NOT a phone (exception sales!).

Avantages

Great teams made up of smart, motivated people. Databricks is an exciting place to work because it is part of the growing data and AI tools space. The benefits and income are also good overall.

Inconvénients

Databricks no longer feels like a startup. There are now multiple layers of bureaucracy, and leadership can feel territorial rather than collaborative. Over time, it can seem like business growth and internal politics have become stronger drivers than innovation or employee experience. For long-tenured employees, it may become harder to stay excited or feel challenged. Other companies may offer a more energizing environment.
