I had an uncomfortable experience working here. I enjoyed collaborating with my immediate teammates, but I encountered behavior in a company meeting that soured my view of this company. During a weekly marketing meeting, a person from leadership made a very racially insensitive remark when joking about Chinese manufacturing. It was met with laughter in the room.
That moment changed how I viewed the company culture. While the environment can feel casual and “laid-back,” there didn’t seem to be clear boundaries around what’s appropriate in a professional setting. As one of the only non-white team members, I found it difficult to feel fully comfortable working with them after that.
