Avantages
As a long time employee of Jerrick Media I can confidently say that I learned a lot more than I would have at any other entry level job. The best part of working at Jerrick was being surrounded by extremely intelligent and creative people, which pushed me to do my best work. Not only are the employees some of the smartest people I’ve ever met, but they’re also life long friends. Working at Jerrick was like being a part of a family and it’s an experience that I’ll never forget. If structure and consistent work flow is something you are looking for Jerrick Media is not the place for you. The company is a true start up and because of that protocols are constantly changing and everyone is forced to adapt quickly. I went into the job thinking I would be doing one thing, but I ended up working in and learning about every department in the company. On one hand because of the inconsistent work environment it is very easy to go the extra mile and advance quickly, but it can also be very frustrating at times. Overall my experience at Jerrick Media was a positive one that has given me a great foundation for the rest of my career. Although it was very difficult and frustrating at times it challenged me immensely and taught me how to be a better worker.
Inconvénients
The pay and benefits are not the greatest. There is no monetary compensation for over time and it is expected that you stay late frequently. To ameliorate this the starting hours are very flexible.
