Avantages
good hotel accommodations, good travel. Got taught a lot about control systems, and pulling cable. Work was pretty easy. Would be a good job for a single guy that wanted to travel.
Inconvénients
Generally the culture was lame. A lot of ego, showboating but poor workmanship. Very political among the techs- stab you in the back or try and get you fired. A lot of drinking during and after work, even a mandatory party where people got extremely drunk. PM was worthless everyone communicated with him over email because he'd outright lie about anything. Techs I worked with did a shabby job, and when called out they would blame everyone. The day I left there was a job stopping argument over "if you could splice 18/2?". Years later I warned a client about going with conference tech, she did anyways- long story short they did not deliver. Another company last min came in to save the day. I even heard sales guys say they could do full out concerts for national bands with line arrays, moving lights, rigging lol- f'n delusional man.
