Avantages
Director is outstanding. Her dedication is genuine; family business. Work provides satisfaction, can be hectic at times. Shift 8am-4pm cleans, prepares meals, shop for groceries; clients in programs. Shift 4pm-12am serves dinner, assist client with assignments, activity time, prepare for bed, monitors. Shift 12am-8am bathes, dresses, prepares breakfast, watch clients leave for school. Various ages, up to eight (8) clients in group home (varies).
Inconvénients
Team work is essential in group homes to prevent escalating hostilities.
Employees, some, with several years in can be difficult, they do not like to alter their personal routine of comfort. Management favors long term employees, to much trust in feedback from these employees concerning newly hired employees.
