Avantages

Flexible schedule, coworkers are nice. Supportive team and manager. Opportunity to obtain your EMT through a special program. ComTrans is owned by Global Medical Response and you can transfer to anywhere in GMR within 6 to 8 months of employment.

Inconvénients

Poor communication with one supervisor, the same supervisor has a serious attitude problem. Training is a current problem but is on its way up and improving. Pay is average with yearly raises not being very much.

Avantages

Flexibility with scheduling, relatively easy job.

Inconvénients

Management is incredibly disorganized and those who overpromise and under deliver are consistently promoted without verifiable results. By working for ComTrans rather than most other GMR companies(parent company of ComTrans and AMR), you receive lesser benefits and a stricter PTO policy, with no opportunity for cash outs unlike if you worked for other GMR entities. With hybrid and remote work opportunities proliferating the workplace, the conditions of being in good standing are applied to some but not to others. Unequal treatment should be your expectation should you even think of working here(which you shouldn't, just apply for AMR positions if you'd like better pay and benefits for doing a similar job). Personality is prioritized over work ethic, and if you are frustrated for legitimate reasons then you aren't a team player. How far you go depends on how much of a company guy you are in meetings, rather than the quality of work you produce and the quality of leadership skills you demonstrate. This company started in Arizona, a state that has legislated disempowerment of employees, and has taken AZ standards and applied them elsewhere. Which should be an embarrassment but, rather, seems to be a source of pride. ComTrans is also a walking BOLI violation, and it's a sheer miracle that they haven't been sued yet. Seriously, if you're looking at job postings, look at AMR postings. If you're reading this we have probably never met but you deserve so much better.
