Avantages
The mission! A solid cause to get behind.
Inconvénients
This organisation is the most toxic I've worked in in my career to date. The positive reviews are written by management, so take them with a grain of salt. There's a reason there are lots of 5* reviews with 'N/A' cons to working here. People have left the organisation due to poor management, false accusations of bullying, false accusations of complaints against employees. People are overworked, stressed, under appreciated. There is a quarterly 'Star Award' that is meant to be voted for by employees, but it's picked by senior management so it's never fair. The people that win the Star Award deserve a pay rise, and a promotion - but they won't get it. The influx of negative reviews are due to senior management 1. Not listening to staff, 2. Falsely accusing people of bullying and therefore creating such a horrendous working environment they are forced to leave, 3. Under appreciating and underpaying staff, 4. False promises, 5. Not creating a safe space for employees to provide feedback. I was told off for once providing negative (but constructive) feedback to my line manager about processes. Mental health does not matter here. There are a handful of people in management positions who are amazing and are really fighting the good fight, but they will leave eventually. Senior management needs a shake up, because their shady practices and poor treatment of employees has gone on for far too long. I could go on about more issues but maybe I should talk to a therapist after my time working at this organisation.
