Avantages

potentially huge market, but unproven business model. lots of moving parts, so lots ideas to get involved with

Inconvénients

way to much politics for a company this size. cant tell if some of the management is really committed it. no team culture, not that exciting/fun as a work place, every dept doing their own thing. lots of opportunities, but also unfocused go to market.

While we do appreciate the input of past employees, we feel that there are some facts worth sharing. Our model has proven to be very successful as ChargePoint now has a 70% market share of public network charging. Every major auto company is in partnership with ChargePoint leveraging our network of drivers, our best-in-class charging stations, and of course our data. ChargePoint is the only EV charging company that has these partnerships with car makers. With the multiple tasks of building a company, helping define and create a whole new market and providing input to legislators all in the fast-paced world of Silicon Valley, ChargePoint has maintained an open casual environment with an open door policy to leadership. For a small startup, we are rather proud of our perks: free healthy food, gourmet coffee from Jura esspresso machines, pet friendly work environment, flexible telecommuting, paid cell phones, EV parking, free drinks, happy hours, free swag, and more.

Avantages

Good snacks and free charging.

Inconvénients

Incredibly disorganized middle management. Middle management is always vying for more "power" creates a turf war situation between the different teams. Projects are constantly bouncing from "highest priority" to "no longer working on it at all and abandoned the idea entirely". One is expected to work very long hours for not good comparable industry pay. No 401k match. Poor stock refreshers, particularly when you look at the stocks performance.
