Avantages

Great benefits (healthcare, unlimited PTO, free mattress and swag)

Inconvénients

There’s usually a reason a company has such great benefits and it’s usually because there is some underlying issue that is making it hard to retain employees, and that’s definitely true at Casper. I get the feeling Casper was a great place to work in the beginning but as it continued to raise money and eventually went public, the pressure to grow faster than was logistically possible was felt throughout. Turnover was high in retail and corporate, some which was due to multiple rounds of layoffs (probably 2-3 in a year). Definitely was a red flag when the old employees that had been there from the start had started to leave after the IPO they had been eagerly awaiting (which was a bust). Now it hangs on but management doesn’t seem to care about improving any processes or keeping employees happy. It’s a hard pass from me. Don’t waste your time.

Avantages

The WTC office is nice

Inconvénients

Most recently Casper moved to a 401k plan that is highly restrictive. It doesn’t allow selecting individual funds to build portfolio, and the funds selected have extremely high cost ratio. Looks like an extreme and desperate measure to save on admin overhead. Also, every year Casper discounts gets deeper and more frequently. The ads are boring and monotonous. Look at Casper a few years back and what it looks like now.
