Avantages

Lots of extensive and value added training. Tons of customer traffic. Busy compared to industry. Proprietary systems are awesome. On-line financing with specific CarMax lenders is second to none.

Inconvénients

Sales managers are elevated with little to no training or background to be a Real managers of people. Managers should be able to motivate, mentor and "feel" the situation as if it was them. The average store has 50% of the mgmt staff that are only breathing and pulling in a salary. Sales consultants are 100% commission and they make the same per car sale that they did in 1993? Managers get a salary equal to or greater than the average SC average monthly pay. We average less than $20 per hour. We put up with a LOT of stuff!

Avantages

Remote work, first 2 weeks of the 2 month training, offers sick time before PTO rolls in

Inconvénients

Little to no worklife balance, toxic positivity (like when they called the meeting about taking away our bonuses “exciting news” and tried to gaslight us as to why this was a good thing), extreme micromanagement, listening to our headsets constantly without us knowing, AI rating our metrics, unrealistic expectations, you basically do 4 jobs in one (at Carvana, appraisals / selling, financial applications and documents / EPUs, sales and customer service were ALL DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS.
