Avantages

People are great! Technical, willing to work together for a common goal. Support is there if you know where to look. Fridge is stocked with sodas, waters and other goodies.

Inconvénients

Egos get in the way. Management is full of themselves and ensuring their continued success by figuring out ways to blame others. Focus on the almighty dollar rather than on the customers needs. Management makes it impossible to succeed and grow. Think twice before accepting a job at Cal Net. It is merely a mill to make management income goals. Management feigns support, but they really could care less about you and your work-life balance.

Avantages

My time at Cal Net has been very rewarding. I have had the opportunity to work with amazing people and clients. I encourage current and prospective team members to continue to focus on their own continual improvement and prepare their skills for the opportunities that new solutions in the cloud will bring to the industry.

Inconvénients

There is good and bad with anything. Cal Net is no different. Glad to see management taking quick action when needed.

Avantages

There has been a lot of changes since I've started years ago but the changes are a good thing. Company has grown over 100 employees since I have started and company is investing time and money to lay the ground work to grow exponentially. If you're a decent field engineer with good communication skills who wants to work and learn, you will make a lot of money. Cal Net has a lot of incentives for engineers to make money from optional over time, bonuses, contests and they even reimburse your certification exams that you pass. There is so much opportunity for those who want tot work and are willing to play in a team environment. If you don't want to work as hard, that is okay, you just won't make as much as those who are really motivated.

Inconvénients

If you work as a in house tech, for a government agency, or if you don't have time management skills or team work skills, don't apply. A lot of work right now and more in the pipeline, so if you want to just coast, not a good idea to apply here. For new engineers their can also be up to 1-2 hours of drive time a day if your clients are scattered or if you get stuck in traffic. This can be minimized as you move through the ranks.
