Hopeless HR function is like Siobhan Sharpe in the BBC series '2012', following the company handbook book rigidly and relentlessly with little common sense. Utterly clueless in staff welfare and motivation. Staff are poorly paid and undervalued in what is often a stressful job. As people leave, their tasks are merely added onto the remaining staff's workload. There is never any meaningful or appropriate recognition for enduring stress and hard work: There are no staff benefits like health insurance, or even commission. They sell you the dream but all they care about is lining the managers pockets. Don’t even bother with HR as management is told everything by HR and management override everything. Not a very professional company at all.
