Avantages
I've worked in different companies for the past 30 years, from small ones with less than ten people to multinational companies with hundreds of employees. So far, this has been the best, hands down! It is not perfect, as there is no such company, but the management style of the owner and the culture of the company definitely suit me. I've never seen an owner of a company who would care for his employees as he would. It is not the usual corporate environment where everything is structured. Not the place for clock watchers, but for people with a lot of initiative, where success is celebrated (and even your birthdays and anniversaries). Here people work hard and work smart, and still enjoy each other's camaraderie. I can say that here I found balance in my work and life. And boy, what an incredible product we have that we keep improving. If you have a lot of creative juices, you'll be given opportunities to try them.
Inconvénients
This place is definitely not for everyone. But if you fit in our culture, you'll enjoy it a lot. In fact, a lot of people stay in the company for a long time. For a software company, that says a lot. Of course, there are people who won't fit in our culture, and that's okay. They'll do great somewhere else, I'm sure.
