Avantages
The data is terrific, the people are awesome, the opportunity is there. Helpful co-workers are really the best part.
Inconvénients
Custom in house developed ETL tools and infrastructure with massive disregard for industry best practices. Short sighted management only interested in highly optimizing broken workflows rather than addressing the heart of the issue. You are a cog in a machine. You are on an assembly line. You don't matter to the company. Only adherence to the broken corporate policy matters. Some have said it's a culture of debate allowing input from individuals. Internally it had been called a meritocracy. Really it's a culture of shared ignorance playing a game of arguing about things that don't matter and feeling like they've accomplished something when nothing changes.
