Acquisition by Broadcom is like a definite death blow to the culture and innovation of the acquired company. Broadcom management only knows the language of money including CEO. The senior management of the acquired company (mostly a Division in Broadcom at that time) is generally clueless and only has one goal -- maximize profit margin. No innovation can happen in such a terrible place, never!
