Favoritism is evident in decision-making, which undermines team cohesion and fairness. Critical resources required to do our jobs effectively are either missing or insufficient. The technology stack is outdated, relying on frameworks and infrastructure that hinder scalability and modernization (e.g., Ruby on Rails, PHP, self-hosted databases, no cloud adoption). Basic infrastructure like Wi-Fi is unreliable, which is surprising and unacceptable for a technology company. The work-life balance is poor, with employees regularly working 10–12 hour days and receiving little to no recognition or appreciation. There is a high turnover rate, and the company has struggled to retain experienced staff. Currently, no senior technical leaders remain. Deployment and release practices lack structure and consistency, often depending on the availability or mood of senior staff. The engineering team lacks diversity, with no visible efforts to build an inclusive workforce—there are currently no women on the engineering team.
