Avantages
As a global company with a large variety of projects, there's something for almost everyone interested in management and technology consulting. With a fairly strong presence overseas, there are also opportunities for foreign projects. The time off policy at BE is pretty great with 4-5 weeks of paid leave. Like any large company, there are good and bad people on projects and in management. Teams with solid leadership can be successful and a fun place to work. While it is always possible to work many hours on extra things like proposals, a healthy worklife balance is encouraged by some managers.
Inconvénients
BE has progressively detioriated over the past 3 years. While maybe it wasn't a great idea to start working for a company in the middle of a major financial audit, I believed the hype that the tough stuff was behind BE and things would be better going forward. I've heard that every year during almost every global employee call. The company has been plagued with poor senior management financial decisions such as taking the company public when it obviously wasn't ready or even a good idea (under 50 cent stock price is a testament to that) to equally poor management decisions such as not investing in employees with incentives such as tuition reimbursement and adequate promotions and raises. Its extremely difficult to move from one project to another without assistance from friends in higher places. Many employees find it easier to leave the company then move projects.
