Avantages
Axial is a company where you can be continually challenged while working towards a worthwhile goal, with significant upside potential. Axial does a lot to recognize hard work and to encourage personal growth, and compensates employees well, and naturally a lot is expected in return. If you thrive while being challenged to grow, Axial is a great place to work and you can have a significant impact.
Inconvénients
Axial encourages a strong culture which is a great thing for the most part. Everybody likes to play for a team that has team spirit, and I believe a strong sense of corporate identity greatly improves our chances of successfully fulfilling our mission. But it carries some risks, such as groupthink, selection bias and alienating some employees. I suspect something along these lines must explain the very negative rating that a software engineer posted back in November. I've been an engineer at Axial for over a year, and I definitely do not recognize the company I work for in that post. I'm not even going to bother discussing it point by point, I think all I need to say is that it has personally made me uncomfortable to know that was out there representing a company that, despite its faults, I am proud to work for.
