Performative values. Basecamp employees treated way better than Property employees. - Avis employé Employé (anonyme) AutoCamp

Avantages

- Pay was decent - My manager was supportive and helpful (they were way overworked, and have since left)

Inconvénients

- Basecamp employees are afforded opportunities/benefits not given to Property employees. E.g., Property employees accrue up to 5 days of PTO their first year (that's inclusive of sick time), while Basecamp employees get Unlimited PTO right out the gate. - They expect loyalty while offering none of their own. They seem to let a few people go every year around December, regardless of job performance. - They advertise all roles with generic phrases like "competitive benefits, generous PTO" that don't reflect reality. (see above: 5 days of PTO your first year if you work on Property) - No 401(k) match - Company values are performative - CEO is coddled and out of touch

Avantages

Super fun! Lots to do. Substantial base pay + commission. The Sales team prior to bringing in a new Director was top notch and it was a lot of fun to work for the company.

Inconvénients

Unrealistic sales goals for certain properties. The model was a "boutique luxury hotel" but most clients didn't see it that way. The rates were astronomical for the clientele wanting to stay at the property. Upon opening new locations they came in super strong with sales goals before building report in the community. The entire last year were about lay offs and no one is safe! From managers, directors to higher level executives- everyone is always scared for their job and a company who does layoffs in November & December…shame on you. When you know your employees aren’t gonna be able to find a job for the next 2-3 months in that season. You are going to ruin families and their Christmas for saving your tax year and some money…
