Can only have 3 sick days a year even if you're off sick because of something ongoing like back problems or period pains. Can't shift swap. Rota is published 2 weeks in advance (usually) and once it's published you can't request a day off which means you miss out on things that have been planned last minute. Not supposed to leave your station so you can end up spending hours with no contact with colleagues (especially when picking) Opportunities to progress but it's far more work and stress for about £1 extra an hour
