Avantages
There are a lot of negative reviews here, most of which are accurate to a large degree. There are also some positive reviews which are clearly written by the exec team to counter the large # of negative reviews that came in, but there is some truth in them as well. I left Apptimize in early Jan. of 2018, which was messy and definitely not on the best terms. Since that happened, some people thought I had written one (or more) of the really nasty reviews - but I never did write a review. Someone mentioned "the review I wrote" again yesterday, so I wanted to take a moment to set the record straight. Pros: -I joined the business development team mid-way through 2016. When I started the process was in shambles, SDRs weren't hitting quota, and the AEs had no Opportunities (sales deals) to work on. I spoke directly with the (then) CEO about the bottlenecks I had found and strategies to improve the process. She not only took the time to listen was open to feedback, but actually empowered me to solve the problem. -I've never met or worked with a smarter group of people. Nancy is able to attract the best talent there is. Plus, everyone was/is really cool and a lot of people who left still stay in touch (even though I'm bad at it). -Apptimize is a really cool solution, cutting edge technology, in a very new and exciting Market. They also have some incredibly large and impressive customers under their portfolio. -For me, it was a place to learn and grow rapidly. I learned about data science, A/B testing, mobile-app development, and so much more organically. Even more, they paid for me to go through a certification program to help me perform better at my core responsibilities once I got a promotion. -I'd like to re-iterate the people again. It was truly the people and the culture that formed that made working at Apptimize so enjoyable for me. -Even when it came time for Apptimize and I to split ways, the CEO took it upon herself to help me find other opportunities. Without her support during my tenure, and the help at the end, I wouldn't be able to do what I do today. #forevergrateful
Inconvénients
-Stability. It's true that all start-ups have a high turn-over, but that's just out of necessity. Sometimes it seems like the execs would purposfully disrupt the working order of things, just because they "enjoyed volatility". -Another thing that plagues most companies, internal politics. There were too many instances of exec's plotting and bad-mouthing each other behind closed doors, or some of the people they brought on who seemed to be doing well were let go for mundane reasons. -Misplaced trust. There are some at the company who have too much power, don't know what they are doing, tries to micromanage, and alienates every person working under them.
