It's just fighting the horribly inept tooling, procedures and bureaucracy. it's all about following trends and latching on to the latest buzzwords (see genai buzz) most upper management now isn't engineering, but product managers and salespeople who have no clue about tech debt or what it really means to take tradeoffs through a product lifecycle there is a ton of waste on stupid projects begging for a customer
