Avantages
Nice working environment. The building offers a spacious environment, with room for informal meeting around the coffee/restaurant place. Sport facilities are offered and time to practice easily allocated. The mid-level employees are in general very friendly, humble and hard worker.
Inconvénients
The management has set a culture of favoritism build on friendship and connection with them (To protect them). Talent is not necessarily rewarded. The leadership also clearly lack of strategic vision to navigate in the current evolving sporting goods market (Point confirmed by personality tests). Understanding of current trends and culture is very limited at the top of the organization. The focus is sales driven with short terms goals. The communication flow is pretty much only top-down with very limited room for employee initiatives. Career progress within the organization can therefore be complicated because not often results related. This is in general even more tricky for women due to a very male driven leadership with conservative attitude. The above points have led to a significant drop in employee engagement across department since 3 years, with a particular low score in the marketing department. The turn-over has also started to decline a few seasons ago. The reasons are multiple and will be difficult to turn around on a short term due to the sources of those problems, especially with the current market evolution.
