Recruiter reached out and we had an initial phone screen where she asked a lot of questions about my prior jobs...it felt more like she wanted to hear some gossip/drama about my company’s current state rather than focus on my work experience. Then I had a phone interview with the director who’s located in Texas. He spent the entire 30 minutes talking about himself and the team and only asked me just a few questions at the end before we ran out of time. I barely got a word in. I was then invited to the final round on-site. I was put in a room and greeted by two women who I’d potentially be working with. They were so cold and unfriendly, hardly smiled especially the more senior one. I felt pretty unhappy about the way they acted towards me (why would I want to work with such unfriendly people? Interviews are a two-way street!) but I still sent thank you emails afterwards. The recruiter told me she would let me know “by the end of next week” on whether I got the job. It’s been 2 months and I still haven’t heard back.
