Long process with an employer who doesn’t know what they wanted. I went through six, yes SIX, separate interviews, with 3 executives. First, my process was continually delayed by their IPO. After the second round (4th in person 1-on-1 interview) I was told that the recruiter needed to check back with the team. After getting through that I was then told I’d need to individually interview with the Assistant to General Counsel, Chief Revenue Officer, and the VP of FP&A (seemingly a shock to the recruiter and myself). After getting through those I had received nothing but great feedback and had been in constant contact with Tenable’s internal recruiter. After 6 long weeks of getting nothing but positive feedback I was called to be told the position was being hired differently and the company was moving in a different direction... I strongly advise everyone applying to proceed with caution and reluctance. Twice I drove from DC to the Columbia office for interviews and made myself available for 3 separate executive interviews, and made myself available in line with the executive’s schedules. All for nothing.
The company appeared to be misaligned internally and nothing but a waste of time for a position I well and truly wanted. Don’t waste your time.
