      Entretien

Negative overall process. I was called in to interview for the Program Manager, Client Success role. Somehow it turned into a Senor Program Manager, Client Success role after my first interview. The first interview went well. I met with 3 supervisors on the Client Success team. I was super enthusiastic and eager, which came through because the next day they asked me back for a second round to meet with "some more people." The assignment I was given to present was EXTREMELY involved, demanding, and challenging. I was tasked with creating an entire campaign using all action points of the platform. The assignment said the presentation should be up to 10 mins long and there would be 10 mins of questioning from the team to follow. The day to present came. There ended up being 7 people in the room total. I semi-begged for mercy because I do not come from a client service background. The HR coordinator sheepishly said something along the lines of, "Everyone is nice and forgiving, so don't be nervous." What they didn't tell me was that they only had the room for a half hour. We did not start on time because people took their time getting into the room. I ended up presenting for almost 20 minutes, so I realize I went over the time allotted. Some of them asked me a couple questions, but they were very clear on the fact that they wanted me to finish my entire presentation before their question session. They also wanted me to pretend they were "the client," and didn't allow me to ask them any questions during my presentation. It made for a very intimidating, surprisingly formal, and nerve-racking time. I was given a "5 minute warning," which I thought was fine because I was able to finish my presentation within that time. The warning ended up being for when we had to leave the room for another meeting coming in. There was no time for questions! I was mortified. Everyone got up very briefly once I was done and rushed out of the room. I got a couple thank yous, but no one was truly appreciative of the time and effort I put into my deck. I understand I presented for too long, but that was how long the deck needed to be to address all the topics of the assignment. And how can you reserve a room for only 30 minutes when there was to be a 20 minute presentation and Q&A involving 8 people? After they rejected me the next week, I graciously asked for feedback on my presentation. Twice. Nothing. Very disappointed in the process, attitude, and overall smug, exclusive culture of the team. Too bad, because they are a great company doing great things. Check the attitude, Crowdtap!
