I had a small group interview. It was me, one other person, and the interviewer. We presented our items and then the interviewer showed us a slide show. The interview asked us many questions about Success, so make sure you watch the videos and take plenty of notes. Do LOTS of research so you know what Success is all about. We then did a teach back activity using text from Because of Winn-Dixie. Each of us had 15 minutes to prepare a 4 minute lesson about using characters actions to determine what kind of personality they have. Then we discussed what we thought we did well, and what we could improve. We didn't have to do a redo. Make sure you follow their lesson format, I could tell that they really wanted their format even though I tried to do something different. We then filled out some paperwork (worksheet about a poem, school preference sheet, and worksheet on emailing coworkers about a problem). While we were doing the paperwork, the interviewer took us out to talk to us individually. I thought he was very nice, so I thought that part was fairly comfortable. It was more like a conversation about what I thought of the interview, what I thought of Success, and my past work experience. Make sure you have questions for them as well.
I have the impression that if you already have an education degree, you're overqualified. This is either for people who are switching into the education field and don't have a certification, or for kids straight out of college. If you want to have your own classroom, this isn't for you. I could tell they do A LOT of professional development though, which I thought would be nice. However, I could be wrong. I didn't accept the position so what do I know? This is just my impression.
