      Entretien

Overall, the interview process was fairly easy especially after reading reviews on here. Hopefully, the below timeline will help anyone trying to get on board with SWA: 09/26: Applied online for a PT Ramp Agent position 09/28: Recruiter emailed me to fill out application online 10/01: Recruiter called to set up phone interview 10/03: Phone interview (15-20 mins) 10/08: F2F interview The phone interview was fairly easy as the recruiter is getting to know you and your background. He/she will review your application and ask you questions based on your responses on your application so remember what you listed (i.e. why you left your last job). After the recruiter goes through this piece, he/she will get more specific about the role you applied for. Make sure you are fully aware of what the position entails because they will ask. If you have another job or commitment, be prepared for the disclaimer that they cannot make any accommodations regarding schedules. Other than this, there was only situational based question. After the phone interview concluded, I was told I would hear back via email or phone if I move forward in the process. I heard back within 2 hours which I was then scheduled for a F2F interview the following week. During the F2F interview, I was taken into a small office where I interviewed with the HR Rep and the Ramp Sup. The HR Rep will have a laptop out to take notes while you are interviewing. After a brief intro from them, you are again asked about your employment history and experience. Right out of the gate, I was asked if I planned on leaving my FT job. When I said no, I was advised the Ramp Position (PT) has 6 hrs. shifts with two consecutive days off. Based on low seniority, I was told this position could easily become 40 hrs per week. When I acknowledged this, I was then asked how I could possibly manage both jobs. Though my schedule would allow it, I believe this was the deal breaker. **For anyone applying that already has a PT/FT job, be prepared for this. ** After that hurdle, the remaining questions were a breeze. They will ask you why you want to work at Southwest and they are expecting you to be aware of the company culture. I would strongly encourage applicants to research the company (Southwest website has great information) so you are prepared. Though I was not offered the position, I believe the next steps would be fingerprinting, drug test (within 48 hours), and then background check by a 3rd party (2 weeks). If you successfully pass those steps, the 6 day training (all expenses paid) would be scheduled for Dallas. Good luck folks!!
