      Entretien

Applied to the job in early Fall after emailing HR a few times beforehand to let them know I was interested. Was told in November that they were interested and wanted me to conduct an online interview. That was pretty easy and just consisted of recording my responses (with video) to some basic interview questions such as: Why do you want to work here? Why do you think you are qualified for this job? etc, etc. There were only about five of these questions and the process was straight-forward. After notifying them that I had completed the recorded video part of the interview process, I waited about two-three weeks before I was called and asked in to do an in-person interview at the Shure offices over my winter break. This interview consisted of four, 30-minute one on one interviews. The first interview was with my HR rep and just addressed your basic behavioral interview questions. The second was more of a conversation about what the department does followed by some questions about my experience as well as some actual questions meant to judge my applicable knowledge of EE. This included questions about filters, DACs/ADCs, digital logic elements, and MCUs vs FPGAs. These questions were extraordinarily general and were understandable for someone who knows the basics of each. The third interview was with my manager and covered my experience as well as a circuits question at the end. Once again, the question was general and if you know your basics you should be good. My fourth interview was over the phone, because the associate was on vacation, and just consisted of some pretty simple questions about how I work. After about 2-4 weeks I was called and they offered me the job. I just had to fill out some forms and take a drug test within a week or so of this acceptance and everything was good to go!
