I took part in 5 different 1:1 interviews over 5 weeks. Each interview was about 45 min, and I really enjoyed my time with each person. I was told I was a "finalist", however after the 5th interview I didn't hear back for over a week. When I did, it wasn't even an email from the recruiter to tell me they weren't going make me an offer. It was a generic, auto-generated email. It really felt like a low blow after feeling hopeful. These are the kinds of things that showcase the inhumanity in the job search process.
