      Entretien

Email a recruiter from job posting, got a call from an HR to schedule for phone interview with the basic screening questions. Got the in person interview during the call with HR to meet with manager within the next few days. I was there very early and well dressed. The manager, gave me a handshake, water and sat in a presentation room. The interview questions were simple, the manager explain more about the position then ask if I any questions. Gave about 5 out of 10 I had written down about the position. She closed with her business card and told me I would receive a call next week if interested. The next week hr called me back to meet with one of the creative director. Director wanted to know if I did anything for halloween as we walked to the office. The 2nd interview was very quick & brief. Director asked me about two questions, then discuss my experience, talk about the opportunity & if i had any other questions. I then said no, any questions I had were answer. Director apologize for such a late time of the interview and got up then the interview was basically over.

I feel like my interview process was pretty unorthodox. I was contacted by a NM recruiter via LinkedIn about a job posting (back in 2013). Talked to him on the phone the beginning of the week. Got scheduled for an interview with the hiring manager for Friday. Interview with hiring manager was also the portfolio review. Then he showed me around, met other teammates. Went from his office to the VPs office and did a portfolio presentation / interview with her. By Monday they gave me an offer. and the following Monday I had my first day. --- The big negative for me is I got shown a lot of cool projects that the manager knew I wouldn't get to work on because it wasn't for that team. That part was a bit deceiving. I was also sold on this big rebrand (and he was very interested in my branding work) of one of their internal brands that never happened. Ultimately the job is to crank out designs for emails, banners, sales, etc. whatever marketing wants.

      Question 1

typical stuff. Can you walk me through your design process? What kind of work would you be excited to do? Why do you want to work at Neimans? How are you in a fast past environment? How do you deal with changing requirements?
