I’ve heard great things about working with Lucid! I was really excited about the idea of working with a group of top performers. I was initially impressed by the thoroughness of the interview process. Building a quality team is important and I was happy to show off my college transcript and Myers Briggs. I was glad they valued those things. Unfortunately, but the end of the process I wasn’t quite sure what else they could squeeze out of me. I nearly went through a background check to get a mid-level copywriter position. By the end of it all, I had waited 54 days and dedicated over 9 hours to hear that they didn’t have the revenue to bring another person onto the team. I walked away feeling like they had no respect for my time and commitment. Ultimately, I am very unimpressed that they aren’t willing to match the dedication to the process that they ask of their candidates. Analyzing revenue and goals should take place far before they post a job listing and take nearly two months of interviewees' time. *Update: the day after I received the email that they would not be extending an offer to anyone, I received a phone call from a recruiter informing me that they were going to extend an offer to someone else with more experience and that they were still actively recruiting for the position. Very frustrated with the continued miscommunication across the board. 7/3: Applied online 7/10: Invitation to have a phone interview with a recruiter 7/15: 30-minute phone interview with a recruiter. They asked me to complete a writing sample to move forward. 7/16: I sent the writing sample over. They asked for a one-pager, which took about two hours to complete. 7/18: Invitation to come onsite for an interview. Asked for my college transcripts and Myers Briggs results. 7/22: Two-hour onsite interview. I had three back-to-back interviews with six different people, three groups of two team members. 7/23: Email from the direct manager asking to meet up for lunch. 7/26: Lunch with the direct manager. 7/31: Update from a recruiter that they are still interviewing other candidates 8/16: Invitation to come back for another onsite interview. Asked for 3-4 references which they contacted and asked to fill out a survey. 8/21: Second two-hour onsite interview. I met with two team members then with the president of the company. I was informed they would then take all of my information to a hiring committee to be voted on. As I was leaving I was told I would have an offer by EOD. 8/23: I followed up and was informed that “they're trying to solidify next year's revenue goals to ensure we can account for more headcount on the team.” 8/26: Informed me that they would not extend an offer to anyone who applied due to changing team objectives.
