I'll start with the positive, what little there is.
I was reached out to by a recruiter and pursued pretty heavily with a lot of interest. The initial interactions were alright, but the recruiter seemed pretty frazzled from the very first call.
They pushed me right into the interview loop and overall, the interviews seemed to go well. The first was neutral at best, but the subsequent ones were all positive experiences. With the one exception, the interviewers themselves seemed professional and friendly, However, within the interviews, there was no metric or goal to assess my skills from one to the next.
But the interviews themselves weren't the issue. Overall, the process was chaotic and disorganized.
The recruiter experience was downright awful. Initially I was told there would be 3 interviews with X/X start date, but then additional interviews kept being added with no explanation. We moved past the original start date, but still more interviews. They blamed it on "finding an open position", but didn't seem to really have any end goal in mind. This after they said they are hiring ~50 engineers.
Even after jumping through all of those hoops, contact ceased and I heard nothing but radio silence. Despite multiple emails, all I got was hardcore ghosting. They gave no indication of anything negative or disinterest in me as a candidate, they just decided to shut me out after dragging this process on for over 4 weeks.
One of my former colleagues who was interviewing at the same time even had to walk out on one of his interviews due to the extremely disrespectful behavior they experienced.
Overall, my impression of this company is that they lack the skill and professionalism that is necessary to hire technical professionals. I STRONGLY recommend you move on. Don't waste a moment of your precious time if you have any self respect whatsoever.
I got an amazing offer at another company, so I don't really care, but I wanted to warn others about this awful experience so they might be able to steer clear and avoid wasting their time.
