I walked in and within an hour of discussion had a job starting the very next day. Surprising to say the least. I brought a full portfolio and they seemed surprised by this but spent little time looking at it or discussing it. As far as I can tell almost every person who gets an in person interview is hired. I believe this is because the job in question is so stressful that people that can't hack it simply fall by the wayside and are fired. Or jump ship because of how unhappy they are. Even people who on paper look like they should be quite capable at this job might actually prove to be crushed under the repeated endless deadlines. That is probably why they simply take anyone who vaguely seems eligible.

Very easy phone call. Asked what my strengths and weakness were. What my favorite newspaper was. Told me the specifics of the job and asked when i could start. It was a really easy interview and it only took a few minutes over the phone. they told me the hours and what i would be doing and that was about it. very easy.
J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Civitas Media (Miamisburg, OH) en nov. 2014

Very rigorous. Required a thorough vetting of my print and digital portfolio. Had two phone screenings before I was given an in-person interview, but it was worth it! I was so nervous meeting the senior leader for the interview, but he quickly put me at ease. I was really concerned that my portfolio wouldn't make the cut, but he was very complimentary and has helped me hone my skills ever since. All in all, the most exhilarating experience of my life.
