I was initially contacted by a contract recruiter for a phone screen. During the phone screen I was asked question to discover more details about my two previous jobs. I was recommend for an in-person interview, and that interview was scheduled 2 business-days later.
The in-person interview was with 9 individuals. Most were my peers. Only the interview with my manager was 1-on-1. The others were in pairs. The questions were like "What are the biggest challenges facing the enterprise market?" "What are the two largest trends in the software product market today?" "Why are you wanting to leave your current job?" How do you believe this job will fit with your career goals?" What will be your goals the first week on the job?"

Fairly typical interview process. Started with a phone conversation with the recruiter to better understand the role and verify the initial fit. Then continued with a phone discussion with the hiring manager to review relevant background skills and how I handled some specific work challenges. At that point we proceeded to 1:1 interviews with members of the team, including the group VP, to cover specific focus areas. Final stage would have been an onsite interview but the hiring team decided to skip that round and move to an offer.

Interview process took place over about 2.5 months. There was an HR interview, a primary hiring manager interview, interviews with several partner managers and individual contributors, all aimed at determining fit with culture and fit with the team. All interviews were over the phone, and all were one on one calls -- no panel interviews.
