J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 6 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Brilliant Earth (Denver, CO)

Was contacted for interview by a third party recruiting company called Planted. Interview was 30 minutes with HR. Neither Planted NOR Brilliant Earth HR knew anything whatsoever about the job. I got the impression that Planted was a bargain basement recruiter as they were completely unorganized and uninformed. Further, the HR person I spoke to at Brilliant Earth had absolutely zero excitement for the company or the job. I got the impression through the process that this is a very very cheap company not willing to pay market rates for finance jobs. I heard ZERO from anybody after the interview until 6 weeks later when they informed me that they had filled the job with another candidate. In the meantime, I accepted another job offer paying $20K+ more. Steer clear of this company.

Question 1
The interview was conducted by HR and they knew absolutely positively ZERO about the actual job. Totally bizarre and unprofessional. The interview consisted of "take me through your resume" followed by an opportunity for me to ask questions of which the HR rep could not answer a single one.

I had a phone screen interview with them that I thought was of poor quality. There was no energy from the interviewer on the phone. The company speaks of a fun culture and good work environment but doesn't really come across that way on the phone. I was excited for the phone screen and brought a lot of energy to it, but it didn't help me since the interviewer didn't really sound all that interested in anything over the phone. It kind of mentally blocked my interest in answering the rest of the questions the way I usually would.
