      Entretien

From the very first interview, I felt judged and looked down on simply because I didn’t have a marketing background. The interviewer implied that my lack of experience in marketing automatically made me less capable, even though I am changing profession and have some knowledge of marketing from my studies. This kind of judgment before even starting is unprofessional and demoralizing. During the interview, I was asked to commit to a 7-day training program. After the interview, I tried to confirm with the admin whether attendance was mandatory, but received no response. This left me feeling uncertain and doubtful about the requirements. I only attended the first day of training, and while the company tries to present a positive and supportive vibe, much of it felt fake and performative. Supervisors repeatedly emphasized my inexperience in a condescending way, making it impossible to feel welcomed, supported, or able to learn. Encouragement was minimal, and criticism was constant—even for things beyond my control. After the first day, I politely informed the admin(the only person i got whatsaap) that the distance and traffic would make it difficult for me to continue, asking them to convey my message to the trainer and other team. My message was professional and respectful: "Assalamualaikum and good morning, Thank you for the commitment and training provided by the team. After attending training yesterday, I found that the distance and traffic make it difficult for me to continue the program. I kindly request that this message be conveyed to the trainer. I apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your time and effort." The admin’s reply, however, was shocking and completely unprofessional: "Next time when you are given an opportunity, please use it as best you can. It's not traffic that's stopping you, but your own desire not to try something new. Traffic is not a hindrance either. Next time when you get a job, please work hard because you are getting older and it's not the time to choose a job again. Thank you." Let me clarify: I am 26 years old, changing profession, and trying to learn something new. I communicated politely and professionally, yet the admin responded with personal judgment, assumptions, and age-shaming. This goes far beyond professional guidance—it was toxic, disrespectful, and humiliating. While the company technically provides training, the lack of genuine respect, empathy, and professionalism makes it a discouraging and toxic environment. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone seeking a truly supportive and respectful workplace.
