      Entretien

I applied on indeed. The advertised job title was "Frontier Account Manager Trainee", from Westminster Capital. Nowhere on the job description did it mention that "Ascend Marketing" was the hiring company. The next day I was contacted to schedule a virtual interview. The Virtual interview was conducted with me and one other candidate. It was a fairly straight-forward interview. We covered the basics of the company, role, and expectations. we were each given the classic "so, tell me about yourself" prompt, and then each of us were given 1 unique interview question. Within the day, they notified me that they were interested in having me schedule to come in for an in-person interview. The in-person interview barren office lobby. Aside from two decorative tan chairs, a crooked rug, and a company logo on the back wall of the lobby, it appeared vacant. Upon entering the lobby, you could hear the hustle and bustle of a sales-team. Receptionist was kind. A friendly man came out, introduced himself, apologized for the state of the lobby, and said that I can be seated and they'd be with me shortly. A sharp woman in business attire called me in and led me through their HQ, where an army of sharply dressed business-looking individuals stood, listening to one commanding woman, who appeared to be "leading the troops". We continued toward the back of the office, where I was brought into a tiny office, inside of which was my interviewer: a friendly man with a warm demeanor who was dressed very sharp. We started off by going over the company, and then the positions. The interviewer introduced himself, talked about his experience, and his role in the company. He asked me what I'm looking for in a job/ career. Then we went over into the onboarding process, the company's structure, and quickly moved onto the expected hours, duties, and performance of employees. Boy, did we move quickly! I scribbled down some notes of the important bits, but I failed to download everything. Interviewer threw in a few questions throughout the conversation: "where do you see yourself in 5 years" "tell me 1 thing about yourself" and finally, "why should our company invest it's time and resources into you?" Key takeaways were that they expect members to work mon-fri 11am-8pm, plus (not making this up) "some extra Saturdays", which was later reiterated as "52 Saturdays per year". The company plans for onboarded employees to train for 1 week, then, they'll have 1-4 weeks to hit the expected sales-numbers. Then, they'll be able to train their own team of 4-5 people, who, when they are up-to-stride with their sales figures, will then result in the employee becoming a "Director"
