I was impressed with the efficiency and transparency I saw from the interview process with ASML.
I received a notice from their recruiting system saying that "they are not able to move forward with you" within 72 hours of submitting my application. Rejection can be hard to take in, but compare to the majority of employers who never respond to your application, I'd rather be told that I'm no longer considered, so I can move on.
The recruiter rejected me by mistake and she quickly emailed me and let me know that she wanted to talk to me. After initial screening with the recruiter, I was scheduled to talk with the hiring manager within the week, and then went to ASML site for a tour the next week. I was also asked to do a 2-hour personality test to see if I'm a fit for the team and organization. Finally, I had another two-hour discussion with the hiring manager to see we have the right chemistry to work together.
I like how the hiring manager took the time to get to know me before he made the decision.
