The interview process for 6sense was disappointing after all of the positive reviews and comments I read. I was first contacted in November, did a brief phone screening with a recruiter who let me know I was moving on and would be going through a 3 rounds of interviews and stated that they were hoping to hire for this position as swiftly as possible.
The first two interviews were both late, to the point I had to contact the recruiter to ensure I had been given the correct time. The third interview went well however, at the end when she stated she was moving me to the next round? She seemed shocked when I let her know the recruiter said this was the final interview phase and let me know she would be giving me an update by the end of the week if there would be a fourth interview or if they would move forward with an offer. All three interviews happened over the course of two weeks and then it was silence.
I reached out to the recruiter to inquire after an update after an additional full week passed to see if I was still being considered. She assured me I was and confirmed I was still a candidate the team was enthusiastic about but that there had been a delay with the job start and due to the holidays they may need to wait until the end of the New Year.
I received a follow up letting me know there was another delay but they hoped by Friday to have everything sorted. I informed them that while I was interested in the company at that point I had received other offers and would love to consider an offer from 6sense if they provided something in writing if they provided it to me by the end of the week as I intended to come to a decision by that date.
I heard nothing back and moved forward with another offer. I did receive an email the following week stating that the team would follow up, yet again, in another week. The lack of consistency, unprofessionalism and stringing along of candidates are all things that led me to decide to decline any future offers at this time.
