Inconvénients
3 to 5 hour sessions with tech support just to get necessary programs downloaded into your system. Plan on having to call tech support once a day for the first three days. Plan on spending a minimum of one hour on hold before actually getting to talk with some one at tech support. Oh, and don't plan on getting paid for any of your time spent on the phone with tech support. Keep copies of each and every e-mail you receive from them. You will need these when you are scheduled outside of the hours you committed to working when hired. Although, keep in mind that even though you have documented prof to the conditions of employment that you agree to upon hire, you may very well still have to fight tooth and nail to be given those hours. This is just regarding the time of day during which you are scheduled. As far as the number of hours you will be given be prepared to work or not work at any given moment. Schedules are posted online weeks in advance yet rest assured they will change before the time arrives. They will add and remove shifts from your schedule without informing you; yet still holding you responsible for the posted hours. This often happens less than one day before the added or removed shift. Always be sure to have a babysitter on call 24 hours a day. You logon one morning for your scheduled 8am shift only to find that the shift has been changed to a 8pm overnight shift within the previous 12 hours. There will be several weeks of training regardless of which 'project' you will be working for. Take good notes & ask questions because once you are taking live calls you are pretty much on your own. But, keep in mind that a goodly portion of the information given to you in training will be incorrect yet you will be expected to do things correctly. Watch your paychecks closely as 'glitches' can cause your hourly pay to process incorrectly...oddly never in your favor.
