Avantages

Good pay levels; good benefits; strong competitive company that will be around for a while; decent people to work with every day; decent work facilities;

Inconvénients

Little or no opportunity for advancement, if you are a white middle-aged male; headquarters has been moved to New Jersey, an extremely expensive place to live unless you want to commute 90-120 minutes per day - if you won't go to New Jersey it's just a matter of time before you'll become a RIF (reduction in force); employee benefits are being reduced and eliminated, one by one; there is no remuneration for outstanding performance or accomplishments; the company employs inane budgeting strategies that encourage dishonesty and make it difficult to implement new ideas that would be clearly beneficial to the company; outsourcing, as a cost saving strategy, is being heavily implemented, thus placing many jobs and even entire functions at risk.

Avantages

Compensation is competitive but you will work very hard for it. Culture is excellent and exhibited and practiced from the top down. Benefits are excellent and cost reasonable. 401k match and profit sharing. Lots of training and professional development opportunities. Can advance if you're willing to relocate.

Inconvénients

Company is trying to transform into what it wants to be beyond a wireless carrier (cloud?, security?, telematics?, wholesaler?, etc) and is struggling with a vision, resources, and org structure to make it a reality. Several re-organizations over last few years so job security has frequently been a question. Often delayed response to competitors caused by management's concern that acting would result in not meeting Wall Street expectations. Not the "happiest" place to work because no result is ever good enough and successes aren't celebrated because the focus is always on the next weekly/monthly/quarterly goal.
