Avantages
RADAR is truly a hidden gem of a company, and I feel fortunate to be a part of its journey. While you may not find extensive information about us online, it's because our CEO, Spencer, is low-key, prioritizing product excellence over publicity.
Recently, we've hit significant milestones, including securing a contract with American Eagle for a massive rollout to their 500 stores, closing a $30M Series A funding round with a valuation of $175M, and earning spots on prestigious lists like The Information's 50 Most Promising Startups and Fast Company's Next Big Things in Tech for 2023.
The people, including the senior leadership team, are not only incredibly intelligent but also genuinely nice to work with. The company culture is fantastic – senior management is respectful, supportive, and appreciative of hard work. There's no bureaucracy, no unnecessary processes; it's all about collaboration and getting things done efficiently.
RADAR embraces remote work especially for positions that allow it, though hardware-related roles may require onsite work. The flexibility in work schedules and a belief in the remote work style contribute to a healthy work-life balance. We also have the availability of unlimited PTO, though we encourage responsible usage, enhances our freedom.
As a startup, RADAR is committed to providing excellent benefits, such as covering 99% of the premium for the silver insurance plan.
My overall experience here has been fantastic, and I can see myself continuing to contribute to RADAR's success in the long term.
Inconvénients
While I consider myself fortunate to be a part of RADAR, it's worth noting a few areas that could be improved for an even better experience:
Company Website and Social Media Presence: The company could benefit from a revamp of its website and social media platforms to enhance our employer branding. A stronger online presence can help showcase RADAR's unique culture and accomplishments to a broader audience.
Lack of Company Logo Perks: Currently, we don't offer any company logo perks. Introducing branded merchandise or other logo-related incentives could contribute to a stronger sense of belonging and pride among employees.
Limited Team Building for Remote Workers: As a company that values remote work, there's an opportunity to implement regular team-building activities. Establishing consistent virtual team-building sessions can foster better team bonding, especially for those working remotely, and enhance overall collaboration and camaraderie.
