Proctor: the gift that keeps on giving - stress, anxiety, and a heaping helping of disappointment. Have you always dreamed of having a comfortable job, one where dedication, punctuality and, hard work pay off. Proctor is the Vernon Dursley of employers, and you are just the new Harry for under the stairs. They will bring you in under a contractor just so that they can extend a rolling 90 day probation twice. Where you “technically” (if they decide) cannot take time off under two probationary periods, due to coming in as a contractor. They will dangle that opportunity over your head so that you feel like they care that you get hired on from being a temp. Don’t be fooled by this sleazy tactic. Training is a train wreck. They are a Call Center that is clearly just learning how to be a Call Center. The trainers have heard terms like “driving” from past employees who are used to real Call Center techniques being used. They have not a clue in the blue sky as to how to run the place, or how to train even a stray dog. They offer answers keys to all of the class courses, so you never really intake the information that you are supposed to be learning. Which I guess cheating, lying and manipulating is fine… as long as they don’t get caught, right? Management acts friendly, but they will toss your body under a moving bus to save face. You are a dummy in a seat. QA is a nightmare, they don’t care if you are new or not. They grade like you’ve been doing it for years. They’ll tell you it doesn’t count against you and, they know you’re learning, but it does. You better be ready to push Purchase Perks, push to the living, push it to the broke Mother calling to tell you her world is falling apart and, she cannot afford to pay for food let alone her mortgage. Push it to the dead. Because even God himself cannot get away from having to hear about how he can save $1,000 on his new home loan when he purchases with us. Push it to the white porcelain bowl where it belongs. This company should be ashamed, and honestly I wouldn’t be remotely surprised or sad to see it permanently closed. Do yourself a favor and skip this “opportunity”. They will offer you a “remote” position that you have to qualify for, another false premise they get you in the door with. Find something else. Literally anything.
