Avantages

Nice co-workers, Half days on Fridays. Good placeholder job while you look for better work elsewhere (Likely going to Duke Energy).

Inconvénients

- Little growth opportunities; employees who've been there for more than 5 years fight for Mid-level pay/promotions. Will promote jobs to the teams, but end up hiring brand new employees to avoiding paying more. Best bet is apply to as many Duke Energy jobs as possible after working at Pike for a while. Pike contracts for Duke so if Duke likes your work, your home-free. - Unorganized management; constant "Go ask__ for help" from managers who should know what they're doing. - Contractor that outsources; If you get recruited: run. They would rather drain you for 5-6 months of work and tell you they don't want you at the end of your contract. - High turnover; should have seen it coming with how the managers hesitated over the question during the interview. Worked for 6 months and saw 4 people fired. - Terrible PTO; you accumulate 3 days a year off during your first few years and they don't stack so have fun working 40 for 2.5 hrs. - Not remote friendly; Managers are VERY hesitant to let employees W.F.H.
