Avantages

Great benefits and salary for Europe. Stress level is relatively low although people work hard and are very commited. It's generaly easy to have a work/life balance. E.g; it's part of the local culture that you can take off early on fridays to enjoy your week end! New Campus is fantastic and makes it a very nice place to work. Opportunities to change department and change jobs frequently if you like. Good opportunities for on the job training and development

Inconvénients

As any big companies, burocracy slows things down too much and it's sometimes very difficult to get things moving. Changing jobs is easy if you make lateral moves but getting a promotion is a lenghty process, especially if you're not in the upper management levels.

Avantages

Pays pretty well in comparison to similar jobs in the market

Inconvénients

Unstable schedule where you are often asked to come in overnight (1-2 am) regardless of if you have worked the previous day or are off. Basically feels like you're permanently on-call to conduct environmental monitoring. Training is slow. The Micro dept in general is currently understaffed. The job also involves lab work once you are done with your daily environmental monitoring tasks. The work never ceases and the Technicians as a whole has several responsibilities. Promotions seem to come very slowly here.
