      Avantages

      - Cost cutting now due to covid, its the same everywhere. - Pre-Covid, Companies pays for overtime. Quite easy to get approval. (There is capping of salary) - ESPP, AWS, Performance bonus. restricted stock options too.

      Inconvénients

      - More than half your time is spent on operational duties. - Legacy system, services mostly running in pretty old programming language. - Very little development opportunities / big development projects to work on - Slow progression compared to manufacturing side engineers as tech is not the main business in Micron. - Team is good, the people are good. The bad thing is the nature of the work. The longer you stay in my team, the more irrelevant you become to every other companies outside micron

      Great team, good people. Challenging work and scope but ability to take things on and make an impact. High growth potential.

      Avantages

      Excellent benefits, including: full insurance, stock purchase plan at 15% discount, ample paid time off. Onsite family healthcare.

      Inconvénients

      Poor base pay, especially relative to local CoL and equivalent positions overseas (Micron pays 2x base salary of equivalent role vs. Samsung/Hynix in Asia, but 0.5x in America). Dysfunctional workplace driven by internal politics rather than yield/engineering cycles. Technicians are effectively forbidden from promotion or salary increase. Layoffs are frequent and merciless.
