Inconvénients
After 19 years you would think this company would be killing it in the industry and be a recognizable brand, but it's terrible leadership has contributed to it's sub par existence. In the 3 years I worked at Dermstore, I saw 4 President's pass through. That's a telltale sign something is very wrong with this place. The current leadership is a joke, they have no clue what they are doing, there is no clear strategy that makes sense, and the President stands only as a puppet while the puppeteers (executive leaders) dictate the direction and movement of the company. People in senior level positions are the only one's getting promoted. This company is more top heavy with Directors than I've ever seen at any other company I've worked for. Most are unqualified for their positions and are terrible managers. There is absolutely no room for growth here or any learning opportunities that will help build your skillset. Dermstore is known to foster a culture of favoritism and entitlement: if you aren't on the list, you won't ever be seen, recognized or valued. The pay here is ridiculous... its below the average for L.A. There are too many cancers spreading through the office to create a healthy culture and work environment. There is no collaboration or clear communication between teams, everyone is out for themselves. The turnover rate is at the highest its ever been. Overall, it's not a healthy place to work.
