Unrealistic opportunities to earn bonus due to pulling marketing spend, loss of partnerships, cannot see this changing, BL appears to be a sinking ship since the buy out of Pearson online services. Pretty unethical, unprofessional business practices down to ELT, top down management. Managers are likely under pressure by demanding American ELT, their ethos, culture and professional practices are very different to what you expect from a UK employer. The direction they are heading in will be full on micromanagement/callcentre style by bringing in monitoring with an AI system. Lack of trust and autom onomy. Management lack ethical practices, are incompetent, lack good decision making and are making productive work impossible. When you raise concerns they do not seem to listen to what is going on and ground level. Particularly Regent that is a California based investment company that own the business, have no experience in education and are calling the shots. When they bought out Pearson over a year ago, it was a complete mess, things have calmed down however I cannot see how the business can grow with the way some employees are treated. Alot of favouritsm and mass dismissals. I expect more redundancies will be on the way so jumped ship. ELT, SLT and HR need to change their approach otherwise the toxicity will continue.
